7-Eleven Hawaii came to Theory as part of an initiative to redesign its brand identity and recreate itself while demonstrating its strong connection to Hawaii. The project consisted of conceptualizing and building their new flagship store and their visual identity across many brands and touchpoints that would all of their stores in Hawaii. From shooting commercials to training videos and shooting food photography while developing a new web platform .

Ryan J Brant (Vice President of Creative at Anivive/Unreal)
Chris Beringer (Lead Designer/Photographer)

We conceptually designed, mapped, and generated 3D renderings of the store layout while building all of the assets in C4D. We were a vital part of store planning and construction. Then, we designed all of the store signage, ads, labels, and environmental assets.
Our small team also designed apparel, marketing strategies, and promotional campaigns. This was the largest project our team had undertaken so far, and its impact on the local community was a joy to watch.
Combining photography, 3d (toon shading), signage illustration, and stylized typography for this brand refresh made me comfortable using cross-platform workflows to achieve one's vision.
This was my first experience shooting food photography. I learned a lot about setting up the stage, using cameras and lighting, arranging the food, and all the other processes needed to have a successful shoot.
